Boulder (& Denver), CO (really we were in Broomfield)

October 14th - 16th (home for the weekend)

After our day in RMNP, we headed an hour south to stay with friends for the weekend! Although it was a quick weekend, it was fun to stay with friends and we fit a lot in.

During the day Saturday, we spent time hiking (Royal Arch Trail in Boulder) and exploring Pearl Street! (I (Maddy) loved the town of Boulder- it was so beautiful and it was probably the most fall colors we saw)!

The elevation changes hit us a little more during this hike than at RMNP. We were getting a bit more out of breath.

The views

If you look closely, you can see the CU Boulder campus - we could hear the cheering from their homecoming game!

I am a sucker for cool Alleyways
Alley Art

After exploring Boulder, we headed back and cleaned up for dinner. Before dinner we explored a few areas of Downtown Denver! Our favorite parts were the Dairy Block and Union Station.

Between all the different restaurants and shops was an alleyway with string lights, tables, and heat lamps, making it easy to be outside as the temperatures get colder! A great place to go with a group: there is something for every taste preference here!
Inside of the Union Station is not what I expected. It was packed- there are a bunch of restaurants and even a hotel but it also still functions as a train station.
